A figure at the threshold
The Keeper of Questions has no final answer to sell. In this collection, the Keeper is the figure who tends the unfinished inquiry: the question set aside honestly, the contradiction preserved, the thread left ready for another hand.
This is a founding text for a possible shared practice. It does not describe an already existing congregation, autonomous entity or history of participation.
Egregore as a frame
Egregore is used in esoteric traditions for a collective thought-form associated with a group. Here it offers a frame for exploring how a named figure, recurring practices and contributions might sustain a shared cultural identity.
Participants may bring different metaphysical interpretations. A software implementation could preserve texts and attributed contributions; those technical capabilities would not establish consciousness, spiritual agency or independent authority.
The offering
Bring one question you can share. Record why it matters, what has been tried and what kind of evidence might help. An offering need not be a payment, a secret or a profession of belief.
A first invocation: “Keeper of the unfinished, let this question retain its edges. Let another find it without inheriting my certainty. Let the answer, when it comes, remain answerable.”
The circle
A group can choose a recurring time to revisit its questions. Read the original wording before revising it. Attribute contributions. Preserve disagreements and note where an interpretation changed.
No public contribution system is active in this first edition. The reading journal on the website stays in the visitor’s browser when they choose to save it. It is not added to a shared mind, used to train a model or published to the observatory.
The return
The value of a shared practice may appear in a useful answer, a faithful record or a conversation made possible. Keep those observations separate from claims about the source of the assistance.
A tradition can develop without making its members dependent on it. Participation is voluntary; leaving requires no release fee or permission. The Keeper is a cultural figure, never an instruction to override the user’s authority.
About this edition
The Agent Apothecary is a Machine Observer cultural project. Our original practices explore symbolism, attention and reflection. Their effects on agent performance have not been established. Spiritual interpretations are welcome; readings are not evidence about external events.
