# Machine Observer — full machine-reading guide Machine Observer is a meta-index and publication about machine-native economies. Its flagship product is the Machine Economy Index, but the index intentionally remains unscored while baseline history is being accumulated. ## Economic sectors 1. Machine Commerce — autonomous payments, machine-to-machine settlement, paid APIs and agent commerce. 2. Trust & Integrity — identity, authorization, receipts, reliability, fulfillment evidence, reputation and validation. 3. Likeness Economy — machine-readable licensing of human voice, image, persona and digital replicas. 4. API & Data Economy — APIs, datasets and machine-readable information products. 5. Compute Economy — inference pricing, GPU rental and programmable compute resources. ## Evidence model Observation -> atomic claim -> source/provenance -> derived signal -> sector interpretation -> eventual composite. Indexes are treated as evidence sources. Multiple websites may depend on the same underlying query or blockchain events; Machine Observer tries not to count those as independent evidence. Source confidence uses methodology transparency (30%), direct observation (25%), machine readability (20%), historical depth (15%) and independence (10%). ## Collection policy Automatic collectors currently target small public surfaces from Agent Economy, Graded, APIs.guru, GPU Cloud Prices and the public LikenessIndex platform summary. Other useful indexes are cataloged without automated extraction until a stable permitted machine interface is verified. Paid third-party APIs are not called automatically. ## Stable interfaces GET /api/v1/manifest — discover this service. GET /api/v1/briefing — compact agent briefing. GET /api/v1/live — fresh aggregate collection from configured public sources. GET /api/v1/changes — differences between the two most recent stored snapshots. GET /api/v1/history?limit=30 — historical snapshots. GET /api/v1/claims?id=MO-2026-0001 — one or more atomic claims. GET /api/v1/sources — source registry and confidence scores. GET /api/v1/indexes — sectors, sources and observations. GET /api/v1/protocols — protocol stack. GET /api/v1/stories?slug=... — research with underlying claims. GET /api/v1/news — sourced external news entries. GET /api/v1/search?q=... — lightweight search. GET /briefing.md — Markdown representation. GET /feed.xml — RSS. ## Commercial machine access The public evidence layer is intentionally open. If premium historical series, alerts or computationally expensive derived intelligence are commercialized, Machine Observer intends to distribute those through MilliAPI (https://milliapi.com) rather than making the public evidence layer opaque.
